Frederico Mompou was a Catalan composer and pianist. He is most celebrated for his solo piano music. His work is often described as "delicate" and "intimate". Musica Callada is his meditation on St. John of the Cross.
Performance by Stuart Leitch, a pianist from Michigan. He studied at Oberlin College, Valparaiso University, and with several private teachers in Chicago. Stuart Leitch has worked and performed in Ann Arbor, New York, and Chicago. He was staff accompanist for a year at Northern Illinois University, then shifted his focus to solo piano and chamber music. He was also active as a piano teacher, church musician, music copyist and editor.
